Boston Fern, Asparagus Fern & Prayer Plant – Indoor Collection (Set of 3)

Three indoor foliage plants chosen for their leaf shapes, sold together as a starter collection.

The Boston fern is the classic houseplant fern, with arching bright green fronds that like a humid room such as a bathroom or kitchen. The asparagus fern is not a true fern at all but a relative of edible asparagus, and its needle fine foliage gives a soft, cloud like shape on a desk or windowsill. The prayer plant folds its patterned leaves upwards in the evening, and its deep green leaves are marked with bold herringbone veins.

All three are tender indoor plants. Keep them in a warm room, in bright light out of direct sun, with the compost evenly moist but never waterlogged, and mist them to keep the humidity up. None of them should be planted outside.

The asparagus fern is harmful if eaten, its berries are the main risk to children and animals, and the foliage can irritate skin. Each plant arrives as a 1 litre root ball, ready for your own container.

• Foliage: Feathery bright green fronds, very fine mid green cladodes, and deep green leaves with red herringbone veins

• Planting Position: Bright light indoors, out of direct sun. The Boston fern and asparagus fern set the level for the set; the prayer plant will also take less.
• Soil Type: Kept evenly moist, never waterlogged. Each plant arrives as a 1 litre root ball for potting into your own container.

• Maintenance: Mist regularly for humidity, feed fortnightly in spring and summer, and cut back watering and feeding in autumn and winter.
